An author whose 250th birthday will be celebrated this year has created a book which is timeless and holds a space none can reach. In many terms, not even her own other varied creations has enchanted the mass the same way P&P has. The book is full of public occasions, conversations, wits, and scenery. So if anyone takes it as “just another classical fiction”, they’re gravely mistaken.

Lizzy (Elizabeth Bennet) as FMC has a strong presence throughout. A character which entices young hearts as much amuse the other generations, this character doesn’t hold back when being cornered. And the witty replies are something you would look forward to. In some incidents, being blinded by affection for her loved ones will make her difficult to argue with(if she were alive), yet this character will entertain the audience all-the-more, making readers understand that confidence and wits are the virtues of a strong presence.
Darcy (Fitzwilliam Darcy) as MMC starts his streak in a quiet way but with the smoothness this character and its presence grown is applaudable. Honest to the teeth, he doesn’t entertain the mass (IYKYK ;)) the same way FMC does, but he stands his ground and new reader can not guess what is going to be concluded in the end. A character who has the distinct charm of smoothly making the readers (and certain someone) his advocate is not so common. At least not in the modern day reads.
Bingley family adds the spice needed to numb out the over-drama of another family. It brings the push-and-pull in the story engaging the reader in the guess game and keeping some of us on their toes. Not characters of negative shades but the one who balances the whole plot and is full of selfish needs.
Bennet family is the team which is in the command of the drama. Each character of this family can pointed out as unique yet someone we can refer someone as similar. Where the elders trying to control the flow of the plot and as always, youngsters rebelling hard against them.
Darcy family including de Bourgh family gives a unique angle to the plot. Some are silently accepted and others are loud and avoided. Where one family is healing a tragic past and the other family runs on the dominance and arrogance.
Lucas family has a presence of the grass in a nature’s walk. You might not notice it unless you touch it. Being another competition for the eligible candidacy, this family brings the wisdom (especially Charlotte) for the forward movement of the plot.
